The announcements of commitments from Manchester United and Real Madrid to play in the Super Group of Dallas Cup XXVII (April 9-16, 2006) and the expansion to Pizza Hut Park, the new Frisco Soccer and Entertainment Complex, that were made this past March have created a level of excitement from other top clubs around the world that is unprecedented says Tournament Manager Randy Jones.  We are about 11 months away from Dallas Cup XXVII and based on the level of interest expressed already by other top clubs in Europe, South American, the Mid East, the Far East and Central America, we could complete the Super Group right now if we chose to do so continues Jones.

The Dallas Cup Selection Committee will continue to receive contact from interested clubs until late July states Executive Director Gordon Jago but the completion of the Super Group will come much earlier than in past years  My thought at present is that the 12 team Super Group should be finalized by the end of summer at the latest continues Jago.
