The last semi-final matches of the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup took place today at MoneyGram Park. Find out who advanced to the Under-19 Final on Sunday.
California Rush 97/98 defeated England’s LFC Foundation U19s, 3-1, earning a spot in the final on Sunday. Bryan Villalobos got the scoring going in the 31st minute of the match. They carried the 1-0 lead into the half and Carlos Yepez tacked on a second goal in the 60th minute. LFC Foundation kept their hopes alive with a 71st minute goal by John McGrath. However, in the 88th minute Jose Flores made the game 3-1 in favor of California Rush and secured a spot in the U19 Championship match.
In the other semi-final match, FC Golden State White defeated Mexico’s Prepa Tec Mty, 1-0. The game was scoreless in regulation and took extra time to determine the winner. FC Golden State got the game winning goal in the 109th minute and will prepare for their championship matchup against California Rush 97/98B.
