Toby Toler, the Dallas Cup Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors, recently spent some time in England catching up with some former Dallas Cup referees.
The uniquiness of the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup, is not just the outstanding play on the field by some of today's best young soccer players, it is also the long-lasting friendships that are made off the field. Toby Toler, a long-time member of the tournament's Board of Directors and the Immediate Past President of the Board, recently visited England ahead of Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXVII to renew friendships built during previous tournaments.
In addition to several stops to famous landmarks, Toler was able to visit several referees who he has kept in contact with since their initial meeting at Dallas Cup. He was even able to see them in action as they are now officiating professional games in England.
