Dallas Cup Alum head to the 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in UAE

Canada starts their FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign October 19th. 

While the US failed to qualify for the U17 World Cup for the first time, several alumni of the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup are currently playing on the Canada U17 team.  

CB- Mathieu Laurent (DC ’13) | CAN / Mississauga

CB- Elias Roubos (DC ’13) | CAN / Toronto FC Academy

FB- Eric Davies (DC ’10, DC ’12, DC '13) | USA / FC Dallas Academy

M- Marco Bustos (DC ’11) | CAN / Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency (11’ PTSC Timber Wolves)

M- Ali Musse (DC ’11) | CAN / WSA North Stars (11’ PTSC Timber Wolves)

Eric Davies, who currently plays for the U15/16 FC Dallas Academy team, is hoping to equal the success of a former FC Dallas Acadamy player. Goalkeeper Richard Sanchez led his Mexican side to the 2011 World Cup title which was played in Mexico.
